“Lee” Burke Biography
Lee Burke received his Bachelor of Science in
economics from the Wharton School of Finance and
Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania in
1971. He is a licensed Property & Casualty and
Life/Health Insurance Agent.
He received the Certified Insurance Counselor
(CIC) designation in 1978, and is obtaining his
designation as a Certified Risk Manager.
Mr. Burke founded the Burke, Bogart &
Brownell Insurance agency in 1973. Since that
time he has been its President and Chief
Executive Officer. Burke, Bogart & Brownell has
grown to be one of South Florida’s most
respected Insurance and Risk Management firms.
Mr. Burke has served on numerous Insurance,
Business and Non-Profit Boards and Advisory
Councils. From 1974 to 1994 Mr. Burke was the
Florida Regional Director for the Volunteer
Fireman Insurance Services (VFIS). VFIS is the
largest insurer of Fire Departments and EMS
organizations in the United States.
Mr. Burke is active full time in the areas of
Insurance and Risk Management including frequent
educational and/or public service presentations
on Risk Management topics. He continues to
develop new ways for Burke, Bogart & Brownell to
assist clients in managing their personal and
business exposures.
